This house on a hill high over Trabzon was built in 1903 for a Greek banker, Constantine Kapagiannidis.

Atatürk admired the house and the city of Trabzon took the hint and presented it to him when he visited the area in 1937.

Unfortunately he was only ever to spend a few weeks there as he died the following year.

It has great views of the Black Sea and an elegant formal garden and now costs 2TL to visit.

Definitely value for money.
