Turkish names for Fish

Do you like fish but don’t know your Barbunya from your Zargana?

Well, we came across a very interesting guide to the fish available in Turkey (we’ll parts of it) and when they are available. This should prove a useful guide for those of you who haven’t yet ventured into the beguiling Fethiye Fish Market and sampled its delights. It should also prove useful for all you fisher folk out there too.

We've also learned from the list that Kalkan, the name of the local town, means Turbot!

The guide can be found on the popular ex-pat website Mymerhaba here.
