Local Fethiye resident Mike Mitchell features in a new hard hitting gangster film shot on location in Leeds.

They say actors like to stretch their muscles. Former Mr Universe and World Champion Mike Mitchell is a man with muscles to stretch. He stars in the film Freight that uses the dark world of the human traffic trade as a back drop to a tense and action packed plot.

He plays a leading role as one of Billy Murray’s gang that fight to stop an Eastern European mob moving in on Leeds.

Freight is a fast moving action film about a side of British life few of us, luckily, have to see, the illegal traffic of people for the sex trade.

The film features a number of well known faces amongst it’s cast including; Natalie Anderson (Emmerdale), Laura Aikman (Casualty), Craig Fairbrass (Eastenders), Billy Murray (Eastenders) and our own Fethiye Face Mike Mitchell.

The film has already attracted a number of awards from around the world.

Freight is released on 8th October in selected cinemas in the UK.

There will also be special screenings at venues in Leeds where the film was shot including Vue Kirkstall Rd and Vue at The Light.
