From 9 OCTOBER 2009 the British Honorary Consulate in Fethiye will no longer accept passport applications directly.

The exception is for Emergency Passports which are valid for a single journey only to the UK.

All completed passport application forms and supporting documents must be sent directly to the British Consulate General in Istanbul (Address given below). Passport application forms and completion instructions can be downloaded from our website at: http://www.ukinturkey.fco.gov.uk/en/

Application forms are also available from the Fethiye office.

Credit/Debit card payment forms may also be downloaded from the website. The British Honorary Consulate will continue to accept passport fees in cash. A copy of the receipt should be included with your application form.

Passport Fees

The current fees for passport services are:

32 Page Adult Passport – 10 year 325.00 TL

32 Page Child Passport – 5 year 210.00 TL

48 Page Passport – 10 year 395.00 TL

The Consulates Public Service target for the renewal of passports is 10 working days from receipt of a fully completed and documented passport application in Istanbul.

Courier Services

The British Consulate sends all of its documents via a courier rather than the PTT.

The courier service used by the British Honorary Consulate that you may wish to use is YURTİÇİ KARGO who are located at: Baha Şikman Caddesi, Taşyaka Mezarliği Karşisi Fethiye Tel: 0252 614 40 87 – 612 79 15 – 614 90 95

Of course you are free to use any courier company you wish.
