There are a variety of options available to you when you need to bob out of Turkey and return with your topped up 90 day visa.

1. Kas to Meis
2. Marmaris or Fethiye to Rhodes
3. Dalaman airport
4. Bodrum to Kos

We find the fastest, cheapest and most efficient option is the Kas to Meis trip.  See our How-to section for the step by step guide.

In season, a hydrofoil runs from Fethiye to Rhodes which although more expensive and a longer crossing can make a nice change if you want to make more of a trip out of it.  Rhodes is much larger than Meis and has some beautiful and interesting sites to see as well as offering more in terms of shopping, dining and the Greek experience.

If the Fethiye transfer is not running, the next nearest point is Marmaris, and beware in winter that the service can be adversely affected by the weather.

Canny types will coincide their trips back to UK or to other foreign parts with maximising the value from the visa.  If you have the flexibility and do travel to the UK or elsewhere regularly then this makes excellent sense.

Yet further afield, again perhaps more for variety than efficiency, it’s always worth spending a little time in and around the Bodrum area and then popping over to Kos for a look round.  Although Bodrum is a fair trek from Fethiye, the transfer to Kos from there is very quick.
