Health and Security Cameli Fault Strikes Again

The Cameli fault burst into life again this evening and the tremors could be felt in Fethiye.
The first tremor occurred at 22:21 local time and measured 4.5 on the Richter scale. Residents in Fethiye took to the streets shortly after the quake worried about damaging after shocks.
Fortunately the four after shocks at 22:27, 22:38, 22:47 and 23:17 were only 3.0 to 3.3 and could not be felt in Fethiye.
As we have reported on Fethiye Times recently the Cameli fault line has been very active in the last few months. The biggest tremor recorded was 5.1 on 29th October and that one caused structural damage to many homes in the mountain settlements surrounding Cameli making many people homeless.
