Health and Security Fethiye Shaken Awake this Morning

This quake was unlike other recent tremors in that it lasted around a minute. This was enough time to raise most people from their beds and get the light fittings swinging.
The earthquake epicentre was located a few kilometres off the Greek island of Rhodes at a depth of 18.7km.
A further eight aftershocks were recorded at the time of writing this article measuring between 3.8 and 2.9.
For many tourists here on holiday this will be the first time they have felt the strange sensation of an earthquake and many may have wondered what to do.
But for those of us who live in the area we know the potential dangers and should therefore be prepared for when the big one strikes.
