Fethiye Times Readers - Sorted!

www.fethiyetimes.com receives a stamp of approval after helping a group of local readers to set up new post boxes.

The village wing of www.fethiyetimes.com has been operating a post box for many years because door to door delivery just doesn’t take place out in the sticks.

The post box is reliable and, apart from a few magazines that have gone missing en-route, our post from the UK and the rest of the world arrives safely in our box.

But as we have learned over the last few months even residents in Fethiye even where a door to door service does take place that deliveries can be sporadic.

As January is the time to renew our post box we decided that we would invite any readers who wanted the reliability of a post box by helping them to obtain one.

So last Wednesday morning we met with 18 readers outside the PTT in down town Fethiye.

With the exception of a few minor hiccups with keys and a few broken locks we were all done and dusted an hour later.

Our picture shows one couple, Paul & Sue Dean, with the key to their new box.

What a ‘win-win’ the event was. The post office staff were happy for the help translating and organising the event and our readers happy that they now have a post box service!
