The table below shows the 2005 income tax rates. Notice that there's no tax free sum as in the UK system and the rates ramp up really quickly. These rates will be applied to all income including interest, rental income and wages.
You really need to plan your tax carefully if you live here as you could be paying more tax than you would in UK. Get professional advice and plan ahead!
