Supermarkets are similar to those of western Europe but the range and type of goods does vary somewhat. For example, supermarkets in England are stuffed with ready prepared meals, fast food and huge choices of just about anything and for an area with a similar catchment to Fethiye there would probably be a hypermarket. However, the economy and goods bought by Turkish people are very different to England.
Most shops take credit cards but always remember to take some ID with you when using them as you will need to prove who you are.
