FIG is not the only local organisation raising funds by selling secondhand goods. On Tuesdays and Fridays the Turkish Women’s Association sells clothes and furniture from a base next door to the Fire Station on the top section of the one-way system.
When Fethiye Times visited they had a large supply of wooden beds, tables and chairs donated by a hotel that was being re-equipped. At 5YTL for a wooden dining chair with padded seat you can’t complain.
