The report of the meeting held on Wednesday 3rd November 2010.

Unfortunately due to technical problems the planned content of the meeting did not happen. However, that turned out to be a good thing, as those attending had plenty of time to discuss the future of the Club.

Fethiye Times’ Gardening Club has now been in existence for over five years with Pat and Suze from Fethiye Times, together with Stuart from Ovacık, organising the meetings and looking after the funds.

All three of them are standing down when the current programme ends next month – and until Wednesday’s meeting it really looked as though the Club could cease to exist at the end of this year.

However, other members have now volunteered to take over the vacant positions and the AGM at December’s meeting should confirm the new officers and give us a new programme for the first five months of 2011.

We’ll announce details of December’s meeting shortly, and also a special Christmas event for members.
