The November meeting will be held on Wednesday, 3rd November at Mutlu’s Restaurant on Koca Çalış beach.

The Club will buy a drink for all members attending the meeting which will comprise two short talks from members.

Pat and Chris recently visited Georgia and spent time in Batumi Botanical Gardens (see picture above). This huge garden was originally laid out in the 1860s when Batumi was in Russian control, and occupies over 400 acres of land rising up from the Black Sea Coast just a few miles north of Batumi. Pat will be telling us all about it with photographs taken by Chris.

John Watson will also give a presentation on the red palm weevil.

If time permits the discussion on the future of the Gardening Club will be started for continuation at December’s meeting.
