Gardening Fethiye Times Gardening Club - September Meeting

New season FTGC met for the start of the new season at Chris and Pat Johnstone's home in Ovacik and were able to look around their beautiful English formal garden - complete with immaculate lawns. They make no concession to climate or location and the result, of no doubt much hard work, is a green oasis in the midst of the dust that is the norm here at this time of year.
Many thanks to Chris and Pat and also Mike Goodman who brought 'baby' date palms for members to take home.
The next meeting on 4 October is an all day coach trip to Ortaca (terracotta pots) and Koycegiz (Palm Centre) - but the coach is full. However, we are maintaining a waiting list in case the members who've booked seats but are still in UK don't make it back in time - so any member reading this who'd like to go to Koycegiz, e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The trip is subsidised by the Club and only costs 12.5YTL which is a contribution to transport costs and entry to the Palm Centre.
