We have now test driven the map to Brian and Doreen’s house in Uzumlu where next Wednesday’s meeting will take place – and the map is somewhat deceptive.
Where it says ‘Dirt Track’ on a seemingly short, straight stretch of road it is in fact a much, much longer winding dirt track which eventually ends in a T-junction as shown on the map. So, to ensure everyone arrives safely, here’s the plan. Pat will be at the left turn from the dual carriageway into the dirt track to ensure everyone takes the correct turning. You will then keep going on the track until you reach the T-junction where Brian will be waiting.
Pat will be at the turning from 1.45pm and will stay there until around 2.15 – so if you arrive later than that you’re on your own.
Finally, Fethiye Times thinks Brian and Doreen have worked wonders with their garden which is only three years old and is well worth seeing. Hope to see lots of you in Uzumlu next Wednesday.
