As we have already stated on Fethiye Times, the October meeting is a day trip to Köyceğiz: stop in Ortaca for terracotta pots en route; long lunch break by the lake in Köyceğiz (bring a picnic or lunch at one of the many restaurants/cafes); afternoon visit to the Palm Centre for a tour of their gardens, refreshments and a chance to buy plants in their newly enlarged Plant Centre.

Due to recent rise in fuel costs the Club found itself paying considerably more for the coach we used at the September meeting than we were paying last year.  Hence we need to be careful about coach bookings and only book the size we need.  We also need people not to drop out at the last minute when they haven’t paid in advance.

We currently have 21 people who have booked to go on the Köyceğiz trip and paid.  We could take another half dozen and still get away with hiring a small coach.  Hence we have decided to give everyone until Friday 26 September to book and pay for their seats – if we have over 28 we will book the larger bus and be asking you all to try and bring friends to off set the cost.  Please pay your money to either Pat, Suzanne or Stuart as soon as possible.  We can all be contacted by phone/e-mail and are all happy to meet up with you in Fethiye/Ovacik to collect your payment. 

Apologies if this message seems heavy-handed, but we do want to make best possible use of Club funds for all our benefits.  Hope lots of you get in touch and pay to go to Köyceğiz, then we can have our usual good day out by the lake and at the Palm Centre.  Cost is 15YTL for members and 20YTL for non-members.
