Calis Carnival 2009 – Funds to be Allocated

The Calis Carnival Committee will be meeting on Friday to allocate the funds raised to good causes within the area.

The Calis Carnival 2009 was a great success with over 24,000 TL raised from the many events organised during the year.

Now it’s time to allocate those resources and the committee will be meeting on Friday to review the funding requests received and to identify any further projects.

“Even though times have been tough this year with the economic downturn we were still able to raise more money than last year” Peter Clark, ChairmanCalis Carnival Chairman Peter Clark said:

“We would like to thank all of the people who supported us either by donating goods, sponsorship, attending the events or by helping out”.

“Fund raising for the 2010 carnival will begin this month and we will publish our diary of events shortly. If you would like to help out please let us know as we need more volunteers”.
