The Turkish Environment Minister, Mr. Osman Pepe visited the Fethiye Friends of Animals Association Centre in Fethiye recently to see things for himself while he was in the region to attend another official function.
He arrived at Dalaman Airport on 30 July with 4 people from his Ministry. Together with the Regional Governor, Mr. M. Temel Kocaklar and a party of 80 official people from the Mugla region, he then traveled the Centre in Fethiye that afternoon.
Whilst it a rare event for a Minister to visit an animal centre, he was very keen to see all aspects of the Centre, from the kitchens to the large dogs and the Cattery.
He gave a press interview at the Centre, saying how impressed he was with it and he thanked the Chair of the Association, Perihan Agnelli, for the work the Association has put into animal welfare in Fethiye and all over Turkey.
