FIG is planning to move to new premises, most likely a shop in Dolgu Sahısında, near to Mavi Kuş.

After losing our free niche in FETAV we have had to hibernate for a year in a less than suitable room.

But now it is time we made great efforts to revitalise the sales which are the backbone of our fundraising efforts and we plan to start by the beginning of May.

This will be a major new project and we are looking for help, most specifically in the form of a special person or persons who would be interested in taking charge of managing and developing our sales potential from a few hours, two days a week into as many hours as resources and support permit.

This will include an overall view of the merchandising, setting standards and managing the voluntary staff.

Ultimately this could turn into a Charity Shop such as we are familiar with in the UK.

Ability to work as part of a team is essential, initially this work has to be on a voluntary basis, but if well developed, a paid post, subject of course to Turkish employment laws could result.

If you have been itching for something positive to do and feel you have the right experience to control and develop such a project and wish to contribute to the local community in this way then please get in touch with Sue Tekin as soon as possible.
