Even though your pool water has chemicals added regularly, it would seem it can still be attractive to local wildlife. One correspondent tells us she swims at dusk purely to watch the bats swooping down to drink from the pool as she is in the water.
Swimming with dolphins has been big business in the USA for many years – but swimming with bats? A hotel owner we know not only has bats dipping into his pool, but has also recorded two different types of owl on the same mission. Frogs are also pool visitors and, amazingly, have been rescued still alive from the bottom of swimming pools.
