Traffic Sigorta is a compulsory 3rd party insurance that must be purchased by all drivers. Prices vary depending on the vehicle but for private cars will range from 150 - 200 YTL.

Comprehensive insurance is available but again the cost will depend on the vehicle type and age. Imported cars are significantly more expensive in Turkey that almost anywhere else in Europe so it follows that the insurance costs will be higher too to cover this cost in the event of a total loss. This type of insurance is compulsory if you have financed your car purchase via a car loan.
