Feedback from one of our readers suggests that the information we published recently is incorrect.
Thanks to a knowledgeable reader we have been advised that the article that we published about importing your vehicle to Turkey if you are a normal resident is incorrect. Although we tried to triangulate the information on the official Turkish website for the Central Finance and Contracts Unit we were unable to get any feedback from them. However, we believed the information be of such interest to our readers we published the story.
We have therefore suspended publication of the article on our website until further information confirming the details is received.
This issue highlights the difficulty we all have in trying to find up to date and accurate information about the laws and processes in Turkey, even from official Turkish Government websites such as the CFCU.
