BA to Fly to Dalaman

The 'Worlds Favourite Airline' is to fly to Dalaman from next May giving the charter flights a run for their money.

As from May 1 British Airways are running a twice-weekly service from Dalaman to Gatwick - Mondays and Fridays.  Departures are 10 pm from Dalaman and about 3 pm from Gatwick.

They will use one of their franchised airlines - GB Airways.

Prices?  Seem excellent - at first.  Their web site quotes 80 GBP out from Gatwick and 90 GBP back a return including tax of £170 flying on a Friday. Not only is the price keen but the flight times are good and the leg room should be better than the cramped charters.

John Morgan, commercial director GB Airways said: “I am thrilled that we will be launching services to Dalaman.  The airport is the gateway to the west coast of Turkey, an area that is increasingly popular amongst British holidaymakers and more recently second homeowners.  I am confident that these services will prove as popular as all of the other new destinations that we have recently started in the eastern Mediterranean.”

What next scheduled Winter flights?
