Recent news in the local press report that the new Dalaman international airport terminal will open as planned in April this year. This will be a relief to the many tourists and travellers who have had to endure the cramped and busy old terminal which in high season often saw them queuing in the hot sun just to get into the terminal.

But we wait to see if the airport authorities will take the opportunity to offer a reliable public transport system in and out of the airport. At the moment only taxis, with their high and sometimes variable prices, and private transfers run in and out of the international airport.  But, with the vast increase in independent travellers we think it's now time to offer a reasonably priced public bus service from the new terminal to the Dalaman bus station from where you can get a bus to just about anywhere.
