Christmas in Fethiye wouldn’t be the same without the Çalış Christmas Fair and, with the wet weather we’ve been having, there were many people watching the forecast with bated breath and fingers crossed for a dry day… and it worked.
After a very wet start, the rain stopped and held off until later in the afternoon.
The Çalış Children’s Charity (3C’s) Christmas Fair was on.
150 stalls filled the promenade with seasonal merchandise; Christmas handicrafts and gifts, Santa hats, decorations, Christmas trees, tinsel and stockings and seasonal foods.
Christmassy dressed stallholders were very happy with the turnout and had a great day, especially the ones selling pies, cakes and pastries. People turned out, despite the weather, to browse and buy the Christmas wares.
Come and see for yourself…
Thank you to Norman Clark for the wonderful photographs.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
The mulled wine, with or without the extra brandy, was a great success.
Here comes Santa
No Christmas Fair would be complete without a visit from Santa and he arrived in style, riding on his modern day sleigh.
Over 100 children visited Santa and received an early Christmas present.
Thank you to…
Thanks to George and Christine Rimmer and the committee members and volunteers who worked so hard for the last two months to arrange the event.
Also like to thank Fetav for their help and support.
3C’s hope everyone who took part, either vendor or visitor, enjoyed the day
The day raised just over 3000TL on the day which will go towards helping to provide a hearing implant for a child with hearing difficulties. The final amount raised will be announced very soon.
3c’s would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Don’t miss The New Years Day Big Splash on Monday 1st January 2018. We dare you!
