The FIG Autumn Craft Fayre, which took place on the evening of Tuesday 26th September, was once again a huge success.

The Craft Fayre was held in its usual place next to Address Restaurant on the Kordon in Fethiye.

The weather was perfect and the people who came along spent a relaxed hour or so wandering around and browsing the many stalls selling a selection of crafts – ceramics, handmade cards, homemade marmalade/jams, handmade stitch crafts, homemade pies/pasties, cakes , doughnuts, artwork, handmade leather goods and jewellery, handmade candles, Turkish savouries and desserts.

FIG would like to say a very big thank you to all the stallholders and the visitors who attended and made the event a terrific success. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time in the organising and setting up of the event to make this the success it was.

FIG would also like to say thank you to the Belediye and Zabita for their support.

“The whole evening was a great success, we had positive feedback from stallholders and visitors” said Fig Chairman Sheila Tongue

The evening raised a total of 1245TL which will go towards funding projects to help children in the Fethiye area.

If you missed us on Tuesday the next FIG Christmas Craft Faye will be held on Tuesday 21st November 2017 from 11pm – 4pm.

We hope to see you there!

Stuart with his wife Linda and Lee who provides the venue for the “Rod Stewart” shows.

On Wednesday 20 September members of the Calis Beach Forum (CBF), a UK based Discussion Forum, presented Stuart MacDonald, the Rod Stuart Tribute Act, with a rock tablet in recognition of his outstanding services to the Çalış Children’s Charity (the 3C’s).

The presentation was made in Lees 60’s, 70’s, 80’s Bar, where Stuart has performed many one-man shows which have thrilled holidaymakers.

These shows have raised a lot of money which has been used by 3C’s to help local children. There is absolutely no doubt that the substantial money raised by Stuart has enabled the charity to change young lives.

Linda, Stuart’s wife was presented with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of the help she gives Stuart in staging his shows.

Immediately after the presentation, Stuart treated the audience of CBF members, 3C’s Committee Members and workers and Lee’s regular customers to an impromptu four-song set which was met with rapturous applause and many cries of “MORE”, “MORE”.
