This years 3C’s Charity Promises Auction was a record breaker, smashing all previous auctions takings and netting an awesome total of between 22,000 and 23,000 TL – 5000TL more than last year’s auction.

The 7th annual auction organized by the Çalış Childrens Charity was this year held over two separate nights because of the sheer volume of Promises on offer.

Going, Going, Gone

The events, that were held a week apart, featured a total of 194 lots ranging from hotel accommodation, fishing and boat trips, trial dive day, meals at local restaurants, designer skin care products, perfumes make up, sunglasses and bags, dental work, airport transfers, original paintings, jewelry, food vouchers and lots of English chocolate.

The Shirt That Just Keeps Giving

One of the most coveted lots of the final auction held on Wednesday evening was an original signed Fenerbahce football shirt.

This lot attracted numerous commission bids both from Turkey and the UK and went to a bidder on the night for a whopping 850 TL (£250).

The shirt has a fundraising history of its own as it was originally first auctioned for local animal charity Animal Aid.

The winning bidder then donated the shirt to the recent auction held at VoJos to raise money for the families of the victims of the Soma Mining disaster,

The winning bidder at this auction then generously donated the shirt to the 3C’s to raise money for the children’s charity.

This really is the shirt that just keeps giving.

Team Effort

3C’s auctioneer extraordinaire George Rimms set up his podium on Çalış sea front and crowds packed the Nil and Bambu restaurants on both nights, all eager to secure a bargain and enjoy a good night’s entertainment.

From the moment the gavel went down the 3C’s team worked slickly and tirelessly ensuring that the event ran like clockwork

And A Marathon Effort Too

Midway through the last evening local runner and 3C’s supporter Murat ‘Prince’ Askin pounded up the prom after completing a timed run from Oludeniz to raise money for the charity.
