    Fethiye Culture Centre presents an evening of Lycian history, poems and music @ Fethiye Culture Centre (FBKM) | Muğla | Turkey

    Fethiye Culture Centre (FBKM) is organising a literary and music event on the evening of Friday 6th July evening.

    Famous Turkish writer, our own Birol Ganioğlu, will give a talk in Turkish and English on the fascinating history of the Lycian region.

    Also present will be English poet Jilliana Ranicar-Breese  who will read her Turkish themed poems in English and Turkish.

    Jilliana Ranicar-Breese

    Jilliana Ranicar-Breese has been a Life Writer (Memoirist) for more than 20 years. She has been published in various magazines, journals and anthologies. While in Kalkan recently, she published her poetry Chapbook entitled ‘Nazar’ inspired by her love for Turkey. 

    She was the award winning best 2017 co-presenter at Brighton and Hove Community Radio (BHCR), has her own YouTube channel interviewing a wide range of diverse people, global Vox Pops and travel videos. She is a wordsmith and storyteller in addition to being a poet.  See www.jilliana.com

    Jilliana is an intrepid traveller and linguist. Her passion for Turkey inspired the poems you will hear at the Fethiye Culture Centre on Friday.

    The evening will also include Turkish songs and music.

    The event is expected to last for about two hours.

    Everyone is welcome to come along. Entrance is free.
