Nestling at the foot of the Taurus mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, lies La casa del Tangala (Tangala Evi).
This delightful lodge offers a quiet location near to the ancient citadel of Tlos and within easy reach of other historic sites and attractions.
Formerly known as the Tlos Mountain Lodge, La casa del Tangala is now the gourmet hotel of the Tangala cheese creamery in Yakaköy (Yaka village) owned by Buket Uluket.
La casa del Tangala is an Agritourism destination and is based on agricultural and rural life. Meals are prepared using home or locally produced products and artisan cheeses in their restaurant. Visitors also have an opportunity to visit the Tangala goat farm where artisan cheeses are produced.
Tangala cheeses are also available to buy from the lodge.
La casa del Tangala is open to non-residents and bookings are not required.

The lodge has eight rooms, each identified by an ornithologically themed name; Kingfisher, Nightingale, Bee-eater, Goldfinch, Hoopie, Blue Rock Thrush, Jay and Dove offer a range of accommodation types to suit everyone.
You can choose to dine outside by the pool and enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains or, if you prefer, you can eat inside in the bar area.
No ‘fast food’ served here
Only ‘slow food’ is served at La Casa del Tangala.
The restaurant has a completely new ‘set’ menu and everything is prepared from scratch using Tangala cheeses, farmstead yoghurt and kefir, farm produced dressings, sauerkraut, sourdough bread, chutneys, fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, olives, forest nuts and mushrooms.
The bar serves a range of soft drinks, Lykia wines and the full range of Gara Guzu craft beers. (No other brands of wine or beer are served.) Breakfast is served from 8:30am and the last order for evening meals is 9pm.

Buket is a YA Certificated Hatha Yoga Trainer and every morning and afternoon, guests can join her in an Aja yoga session – for free.
Good for walkers
One of the best ways to explore an area is on foot. The lodge sits at the foot of Akdağ mountain, making it an ideal location for keen walkers. The area also offers walks for all levels of experience.
Great for history lovers
If your holiday activity of choice is visiting ancient ruins and famous landmarks this is an ideal place for you. The lodge is within easy reach of a number of ancient sites including Tlos, Xanthos-Letoon and Pinara.
For beach lovers
Patara beach, with its beautiful landscape and great swimming, is the ideal place if you fancy a relaxing beach day. The nearby historical site of Patara is also well worth a visit.
Fancy a day in town?
Fethiye has much to offer visitors – breathtaking beauty, historical sites, great shopping, delicious food and warm Turkish hospitality – and it’s only 36km away from the lodge.
There’s so much to see and do in the area but, of course, if you just want to stay put and chill you can enjoy a wonderfully relaxing day around the pool or in the extensive natural gardens that enjoying some shade and the sound of the natural water feature.
As for the views…
From Fethiye take the Antalya road (D400) until you come to the D400/D350 junction. Follow the D350 towards Antalya (straight across). After 500m, turn right towards Saklıkent and Tlos. After 10km, turn left towards Tlos. La casa del Tangala is 2km up on the left.
La casa del Tangala is open until 1st December 2018.
