Some of the most memorable parts of your holiday are experienced when you are walking. Whether you are taking a gentle walk along the beach, rambling though the woods or trekking along trails that take you up hills and mountains, there is just something about it that takes you away from the stresses of daily life and completely clears your mind.
So why not take it one step further and book a walking holiday at the Yakamoz Hotel in Ovacık.
The Yakamoz Hotel is situated in an ideal location at the foot of the Mendos and Babadağ mountains and provides access to many walks suitable for both the casual rambler and serious walkers.
Discover captivating scenery, stunning archeological sites and learn about the history and culture of this beautiful area.
The famous Lycian Way starts in Ölüdeniz. It is Turkey’s first long distance walk and, quite simply, stunning.
Yakamoz walking holidays
Groups of a minimum of 12 people can book either a one or two week walking holiday.
The one week package includes three to four walks and the two week package includes seven to nine walks.
You can choose a guided walk and benefit from having the owner, Mehmet Güven, take you off the beaten track and share his knowledge of the local area, visit ruined archaeological sites and discover hidden beaches and spectacular views.
If you are more experienced and prefer to go walking without a guide, Mehmet will provide you with everything you need; maps, GPS co-ordinates, routes and area guides.
All walks are graded from easy to strenuous.
The walks are constantly being updated with feedback and suggestions from the guests to ensure you get the most out of your walking holiday.
The packages are full board and include bed & breakfast, lunch (packed lunch on walking days) and evening meal.
Taste of Turkey
During your stay with Mehmet and the team you will have plenty of opportunities to experience a taste of Turkey – delicious Turkish cuisine prepared by Kenan, the award winning chef at the hotel.
You will go away having experienced, and developed an appreciation for, Turkish culture history, nature and having enjoyed some of the most beautiful scenery in the world…as well as Turkish hospitality at it’s best!
